Functional Behavioral Assessments

Our multi-method FBA and multi-component BIP process is based on best practices in the field and compliant with federal and state regulations. Our FBAs identify appropriate target behaviors and develop function-based hypothesis or summary statement for each problem behavior. The FBA is used to create a comprehensive BIP tailored to the function of each behavior and the individual needs of the student. Each BIP includes a comprehensive plan for progress monitoring and ensuring implementation fidelity..

Psycho-Educational Assessments

We use a multi-method assessment process to evaluate the behavioral and emotional concerns of referred students consistent with best practices in the field and federal and state regulations. Specifically, we:

  • review student records,

  • conduct interviews across informants (e.g., teacher, parent, student),

  • conduct direct behavior observations,

  • analyze the results of psychometric assessments,

  • analyze the results of global and behavior-specific standardized rating scales,

  • evaluate student response to academic and behavioral interventions implemented with fidelity

These processes allow us to recommend appropriate diagnoses and eligibilities to school personnel in addition to providing data-based recommendations for effectively addressing identified referral concerns.
